Manufacturer: MUSHKIN EMS

Introduction
What can I say?  When memory comes into question the first thing that would pop out of most minds is MUSHKIN.  Who can blame them when this company has a very good track record and the undeniably the 'most' powerful PC133 CAS2 SDRAM in the market today.  We've seen their previous offerings and we are most satisfied at its performance.   Now comes along High Perf REV2 PC133 222.  Guaranteed to run CAS2 at 133mhz FSB and most even claim of making it run up to CAS2 at 150mhz FSB!

So when they chose Octools to be one of their reviewers, we got very excited at the prospect of testing their very famous memory module.   To see if it will stand up to its credentials and achieve what most are looking for in a RAM module.

The Arrival
You would think that because of its popularity they would just pack it like any other piece of hardware.  I have been ordering a lot of stuff, and this was the first time I was impressed at the packaging of any item.  Like cars, they've installed an airbag in their RAMs for full protection against accidents.  Look at the pic and see what I mean.

Now that's taking extra care of their products to make sure they reach you untouched and unspoiled.

The RAM
What is it made of?  To have something as powerful as this, surely it has to be made of unquestionable quality.  Kryptonite?  Nah!  Mushkin made their High Perf REV2 using handpicked Mosel Vitalic chips.  Yes the cream of the crop.  It's not only about the chips but the PCB structure as well.  What do I mean by that?  There maybe other modules that uses the same type of chip but that's where the similarities end.  In order to make your super reliable chip use its full potential you have to make a PCB with a perfect design.  This is where Mushkin Engineering comes into action.
