Introduction

Since Chaintech's decision to concentrate on the "enthusiast" market, things has been going so well for them. Their APOGEE series of motherboards has been welcomed and accepted by users worldwide due to its performance, package and price.

Now they are back again, this time with their ZENITH series. This series is the top of the line. Chaintech has decided to adopt a classification system using the SUMMIT, APOGEE and ZENITH. SUMMIT being the low cost and the ZENITH as the ultimate choice. We have tested both their AMD and Intel Apogee series and lately the AMD Zenith which is based on the nForce 2 chipset. Today we will be reviewing their Intel Zenith board based on the i845PE chipset, the Chaintech 9EJS1. Will it have the same magic its older brothers has in terms of performance?

Chaintech 9EJS1 ZENITH i845PE Motherboard

This board was released last December 2002. During that time the latest Intel chipset of choice was no other than the i845PE. Offering features like HyperThreading and DDR333, it was the platform Chaintech chose for their P4 Zenith line.

Offering a package better than their already successful P4 Apogee series, Chaintech will once again make sure that the consumer gets more for their money without compromising performance and stability. Let us find out if this board will live up to our expectations and if Chaintech's implementation of the i845PE chipset  will give them an edge over the others.
