ABIT KR7A-RAID
Manufactured: ABIT
Intro
When the KT266 chipset came out, everyone was very excited at the performance it would deliver. Finally a DDR platform from VIA for the AMD line of processors. It turned out, the release that chipset was half-baked. It didn't capture the imagination of the power/performance hungry user when it was released. Performance level was not what everyone expected. It didn't warrant the upgrade from SDRAM to DDR for most. Now VIA has come up with a modified version of that chipset. Named KT266A, it again promises to deliver high performance and stability for AMD chips using the DDR platform. Is this another half-baked try by VIA to capture the AMD DDR market?
