Apply the dielectric grease by completely filling the socket’s CPU pin holes with it. Is this safe? Oh yeah! Been using my dielectric grease dipped CPU for more than 6 months now without any problems.
Place the socket mobo on an even platform.
Start application of conformal coating around the base of the socket mobo. Just enough to seal it.
Let it dry and harden before proceeding with the center slug area.
Do the same on the center. Just apply a thin layer enough to coat and seal the entire slug area.
Let it cure overnight. Here's what the slug and base would look like with the Dow Corning Conformal Coating. Very clean as compared to RTV.
