Introduction
After recently reviewing Triplex's Radeon 9600Pro offering, the REDai, our respect for their products has once again been reinforced. Being one of the few companies, in fact the only one I know, that produces both ATI and NVIDIA based graphics, we wanted to know how their latest NVIDIA offerings would do.
When Triplex started as a graphics card manufacturer, they made their name using NVIDIA GPUs. So it is but natural to expect that their current NVIDIA offerings would be of utmost quality and workmanship as well.
Well, today here at OCTools, we are lucky enough to be reviewing a FX 5900 card that Triplex produced exclusively as Limited Editions. So exclusive that what we've got here is 1 of only 250 ever produced in the series. Introducing, our exclusive review of Triplex's FX 5900 offering, the Mohoch FX 5900 Limited Edition.
Triplex Mohoch FX 5900 Limited Edition 128mb
Our sample arrived last week of August and as soon as it landed on our labs, we asked ourselves, what is so special about this card? How is it different to the other FX 5900 cards we have seen? One thing is very obvious though, the packaging is truly unique.
First that we noticed was the silver "dog tag" that was easily seen at the front of the windowed aluminum briefcase. This is a sort of certification that the card is indeed a Limited Edition. It has the Triplex, Mohoch and NVIDIA FX5900 name written on it. It also has the video card number that signifies the current standing of this particular card out of the 250 units made. Our particular sample is the 122/250.
