The Triplex Mohoch FX 5900 Limited Edition comes in a mini aluminum windowed briefcase. We have seen this sort of packaging before from Triplex for their top cards and I have to say, nothing beats it to date.
Inside you will find the Mohoch FX 5900 card comfortably lying in a neoprene bed together with the aluminum "dog tag" that proudly says its name. Underneith it you will find, neatly hidden away from view, all the cables, cd software, etc included in the package.
The card itself is not your typical reference NVIDIA FX 5900 card as evidenced by the use of a dedicated 10-layer Blue PCB with 130 million transistors in 0.13u TSMC process. However this type of PCB is not unique to Triplex as we have seen it before from other manufacturers as well. The only difference is that the molex power connector is placed sideways as opposed to the standing position which you will find in almost all FX 5900 cards. Personally, I would have preferred the Millenium Silver PCB to make it more of a Limited Edition. But that's just me.
The Triplex FX5900 Mohoch card comes with super fast Hynix DDR memory in MBGA package. Rated at 2.2ns, these chips has a maximum theoretical speed of 450mhz (900mhz DDR). That would sound really good to a lot of enthusiast knowing that they would have a lot of headroom when trying to squeeze extra performance out of it. The chips are cooled by ramsinks exactly the same as the reference cards. Thermal pads attach the ramsinks to the chips.
The actual cooling system itself is the same as the FX Flow design except that they've used an ultra thick DC brushless 6500R.P.M. powerful ball bearings fan for greater GPU heat dissipation. That's why, you will still lose a PCI slot even though it only utilizes a single bracket design.
There is the presence of a 15-pin D-sub VGA connector, DVI-I port, VIVO and TV-Out function. Included are the cables and connnections necessary to use such features.
The software bundle is once again rather dull as it only includes a CD driver and a CyberLink PowerDirector 2.0 SE for its video capture functionality. No game bundle or demos whatsoever. There isn't even a DVD software which is quite standard for most graphics card.
